About Me

My photo
I am a Dad to two beautiful girls and a husband to a very gorgeous wife. I am very proud of my family and the way they give me so much support. I guess I do not need to win the lottery, I have already won.

MOUNTAINS

You know the world is full of all kinds of music country, rap, soul, rock, etc, etc, etc and music always finds a way to reach you. There is one song that I really like and it is by Lonestar and it is called Mountains(lyrics on the bottom of page). It kind of spoke to me that in life we are going to get knocked down but when we get knocked down we can not stay down. We need to get back up, wipe ourselves off and continue going on. I taught about New Years resolutions to my Sunday School class and one thing I said was, just because you broke the resolution does not mean it is over. You can always start again. That is the way this song spoke to me, it told me life is easy when the road is flat, but the good Lord gave us mountains so we can learn how to climb. That is what it takes sometimes, we need to learn to climb and not give up just because we fall down. I have fallen down a lot and I have gotten back up and learned from why I fell. You need to learn from it because you might have a friend someday who falls down from the same thing you did and you can be there to give a helping hand. You also become the person who can teach this friend how you got back up. Life is to short to stay down when we fall, so let's get up and grab some friends as we get up and keep going on. You can find the song on youtube too and watch the video. Thanks for letting me write my thoughts and I hope you enjoy it. Please read the lyrics.

MOUNTAINS, (Lonestar)

Lucinda Jones working at the IHOP
Ten years worth of bacon, eggs, and tears.
She's waited on every creed and color
While waiting on this day to get here.
Graveyard shifts, two bit tips,
Making every quarter count.
It's worth it all to see her son in that cap and gown.

There are times in life when you gotta crawl,
Lose your grip, trip and fall
When you can't lean on no one else,That's when you find yourself
I've been around and I've noticed that Walk-in's easy when the road is flat
Them danged 'ole hills will get you every time.
Yeah, the good Lord gave us mountains so we could learn how to climb

Private Bobby Dunn came back from the war,
Lost his leg but they couldn't take his will.
Hell bent to run in that local marathon.
He trained through the endless pain and pills
It hurt so bad that sometimes he just had to cry.
He didn't stop until he crossed that finish line.

This world ain't fair It can knock you on your butt
You can just lie there or you can get back up
You gotta get back up

There are times in life when you gotta crawl,
Lose your grip, trip and fall
When you can't lean on no one else,That's when you find yourself
I've been around and I've noticed that Walk-in's easy when the road is flat
Them danged 'ole hills will get you every time.
Yeah, the good Lord gave us mountains so we could learn how to climb.
