REALITY

Well I just got back from vacationing in Gatlinburg, we are calling it our second honeymoon. I spent 4 days with just my wife and I in the mountains of the smokies. It was nice to get away and we had so much fun together. I think the one thing that was nice was it was just us, the kids were with there grandparents. It was great and the scenery was even better.

The fall colors were almost breathtaking and I sat there in amazement and wondered how people can say there is no God. We also went hiking on a small little trail to a place called Laurel falls. The sign said it was 1.3 miles but it was uphill the whole way. I kept saying to myself that I hope this walk is worth it and it is not just a guy with a garden hose making the falls. We got there and it was worth it.
We did get time to relax a little and bit and enjoy our time together. The cabin had a very nice hot tub on the back deck. We did take advantage of it, after walking through the tourist trap all day in Gatlinburg it was very relaxing.
I must admit that it was so much fun that we did not want to come home. Coming home means getting back to reality. So we had to say goodbye to our second honeymoon and we hope we don't wait another 20 years to take another.
It is now Sunday afternoon and I just got done watching my Titans beat the Eagles and now to start preparing for the week. I guess the bad thing about being gone is someone filled in for you at work or at least you hope so. It is so nice to get away but you do have to come back to reality and get back in the rat race. I want to thank my beautiful wife for the last 20 years and the many more that will come. I hope you enjoy the pics. Gatlinburg is a great place to visit in the fall. Y'all have a great week.

Welcome home...
Enjoy life. Enjoy your family. Enjoy not having to wear 50 pounds of crap when you go for a drive.

Glad you two had a good time, BUT who took your pictures?

It sounds like a wonderful relaxing weekend! I've only been to Gatlinburg once - about 20 years ago. Rich and I have always said we would go, but now I know that we will start working on that bucket list more aggressively once he comes home!

Thanks for sharing the pictures! You have a beautiful wife!

Hey Coffeypot we set the camera on a table and put it on delay. It did a good job.
