About Me

I am a Dad to two beautiful girls and a husband to a very gorgeous wife. I am very proud of my family and the way they give me so much support. I guess I do not need to win the lottery, I have already won.

Well here it is again a new year is upon us. I know we all make resolutions and promises to ourselves that we can never keep. Why do we make them if we don't keep them. Could it be we just like to hear ourselves speak and feel hopeful about ourselves. I don't think it is that, I think we just make them so unrealistic that we know we cannot keep them.

One of the biggest resolutions we make is I am going to LOSE WEIGHT, I have been part of a gym for around 10 years now. Every year it is the same thing. Around the 2nd week of the new year it gets crowded. I am part of a class at my gym and it is called Boot Camp, I try to tell the new people coming in to not try to keep up with the ones that have been there for years. I tell them to pace themselves because we would like them to succeed. They never listen and then within a week they are gone.

This is my own personal definition of resolution. " Resolutions are meant to be broken." This is a real shame but if we do listen to what we hear everyday is that we need to make our goal attainable. Here are some really bad unattainable goals.
I will save a million dollars in a month.
I will lose 50 lbs in a week.
I will workout 7 days a week.
If we make our goals attainable you have a better chance of achieving them then falling on your face.

I found this saying today and I really liked it. I posted it on our Boot Camp Facebook page.

As the old saying goes "Take life one day at a time."

I hope you have a GREAT YEAR.

I don't make resolutions each year. Just take life one day at a time.
